Furthermore, the report highlighted positive month-over-month trends, pointing to a 0.5% decrease in inflation recorded in May, followed by an additional reduction of 0.8% in the June rate. In addition to overall inflation metrics, the government also noted specific sectoral stability, reporting that the inflation rate for food and soft drinks stands at 2.5%.
