Macedonian Athlete Claims Victory at Ohrid Trchat Half Marathon
Ohrid, North Macedonia – Dario Ivanovski, a Macedonian athlete, secured the top prize at the 10th anniversary edition of the “Ohrid trchat” athletic manifestation, held within the streets of Ohrid. The event featured a half marathon race with a distance of 21 kilometers. Ivanovski completed the course in a time of 1 hour 10 minutes and 46 seconds, surpassing his competitors to win the men’s competition.
Igor Trunovanski finished second, while Tomash Suznog of Hungary took third place. The women’s competition saw Blazina Kirajieva of Serbia and Boginja Jovanova of Macedonia achieve the highest finishes. Team competition results highlighted “Korruners & Atomic” as the victor, and in the mixed team event, “Bitola trcha” emerged as the champion.
Further races included a 5-kilometer event where Grigorian Nikovski won the men’s race, and Mateja Efremovska was the top performer among the women. “Mateja Efremovska” also claimed victory in the 5-kilometer team competition. The successful “Ohrid trchat” event showcased a strong field of athletes and continued the tradition of this popular Macedonian trchat.
