The Ohrid Assembly reported that its monthly income tax collection reached 14.14 billion dinars. This figure represents an increase of 1.5 billion dinars, or 11.8 percent, compared to the previous year’s income. Boban Nikolovski, Director of the Ohrid Assembly, addressed the revenue figures, commenting on the effectiveness of the tax system implemented over the past two years.
He stated that the current level of tax revenue surpassed previous historical benchmarks. According to Nikolovski, achieving over 14 billion dinars in tax payments is significant because it moves beyond a mere trend of consecutive increases. He emphasized that the sustained high income levels suggest that the positive results are not isolated incidents.
Instead, they are attributed to the efficiency improvements within the system that have been established during the last two years. The Director suggested that the robust performance indicates a structural improvement in the state’s capacity to generate revenue through the tax mechanism. The reported data highlights a substantial increase in the overall income tax collected, setting a new record.
Nikolovski framed this record achievement as evidence of the successful implementation and efficiency of the recently developed tax framework, confirming that the positive financial trajectory is systemic rather than coincidental.
