Police Conduct Operation Resulting in Multiple Traffic and Alcohol-Related Violations

Skopje, 6.06.2026 – The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the outcome of a coordinated operation conducted today, resulting in numerous traffic violations and arrests. Police officers targeted individuals engaging in unauthorized activities and those operating vehicles in violation of regulations. During the operation, one individual with a nationwide driving ban was identified.

Additionally, thirteen people were observed operating vehicles without valid driver’s permits. Further investigation revealed that eleven vehicles were seized due to a lack of proper documentation, while another ten were impounded for operating under the influence of alcohol. The operation encompassed several municipalities, including Skopje, where three individuals were found under the influence, and Tetovo, Kumanovo, Macedonia Kamenica, Gostivar, Kičevo, Debar, and Bitola, each with one person involved.

Investigations also led to the apprehension of one person in Sveti Nikola, Kumanovo, Tetovo, and Veles, and one in Kičevo. A total of twenty-one vehicles were deprived of their freedom for unrestricted driving. The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to emphasize the importance of adhering to traffic laws and responsible driving practices.
