Multinational Project Near Completion Following Hydroelectric Plant Plans
The EUMETSAT Board and the Ministry of Energy, Minerals and Mining are collaborating to establish a multinational syndicate, supported by financing from several international financial institutions. The project’s advancement hinges on the finalization of the draft plans for the construction of the Çebren and Galisteh hydroelectric power plants. According to Prime Minister Vlada Hristijan Miskoski, speaking on the “Kad se pase par Gotan Temenuv” television channel, the plans appear successful.
“We have no confirmation yet, nor a guarantee regarding the project’s realization,” Miskoski stated. “However, we are very close to achieving completion, and EUMETSAT is committed to financing and implementing this initiative.”
Miskoski emphasized the project’s significance, noting its importance not only for the nation and the surrounding region but also considering the impact of climate change. “I am confident that in the coming years and decades, we will observe the positive results of this endeavor,” he added.
The syndicate’s formation remains subject to the completion of the draft plans, representing a crucial step in the project’s development.
