Mitsoski: Companies should adopt non-trade practices

Mitsoski Announces New Measures to Address Unfair Trading Practices

Prime Minister Hristijan Mitsoski announced plans for a new meeting with markets and distributors scheduled for the beginning of next week. Simultaneously, legal changes are being considered that would increase fines for companies engaging in unfair trading practices tenfold. The announcement, made on June 20, 2026, at 12:52 PM, follows Premier Mitsoski’s response to journalist inquiries.

He urged companies, distributors, suppliers, and manufacturers to report instances of unfair trading practices, allowing the government to intervene. “During the crisis, we held one such meeting. We will have another on Monday, and we will send a strong warning in the form of a new regulation,” Mitsoski stated.

The proposed legal changes aim to significantly deter such practices. The government intends to utilize these measures to encourage companies to adopt ethical trading standards. The upcoming meeting will focus on gathering information and establishing a framework for addressing concerns related to unfair trading practices within the Macedonian market.
