The head of the department for the illegal export of Botox has been expanded to four new individuals, two of whom are doctors

Prosecutors in Macedonia have initiated proceedings concerning allegations of organized crime and corruption related to the illegal trade of medical supplies. The primary investigation focuses on four individuals accused of the unauthorized import, distribution, and application of medical drugs and medical aids. Furthermore, authorities have identified five locations within Skopje connected to this matter.

These sites include two established health facilities, where a total of three individuals are implicated, including two medical doctors. Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation, formal criminal cases have been opened against the aforementioned four persons. The charges filed against the accused are multifaceted.

Three of the individuals face accusations of “malicious association” and “damage to industrial property and uncontrolled use of the company’s name.” Additionally, one of the accused is specifically charged with “damage to industrial property and uncontrolled use of the company’s name.”

The investigation underscores efforts to curb the illegal circulation of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. Authorities are utilizing the evidence collected from the multiple sites to pursue charges related to the misuse of professional standing and economic misconduct within the healthcare sector. The ongoing probes aim to establish accountability for the alleged illegal activities concerning controlled substances and corporate intellectual property.
