Minister Misko Addresses Electoral Law Reform
The Minister of Information, Hristo Misko, has clarified the process surrounding legal decisions made by the parliamentary reform agency, particularly in relation to the ongoing revisions of the Electoral Law. According to Minister Misko, all decisions taken by the agency are formally documented within the framework of the Electoral Law, representing the government’s current objective. During a visit to the OU “Ljuben Lapes” school in the Aerodrom municipality, where promotional materials for printed textbooks were being distributed on the national holiday, Misko highlighted a specific decision requiring formal evaluation of the work of the ESME and ELEM companies.
These long-standing entities are central to the reform efforts. The Minister emphasized that all legal decisions originating from the parliamentary reform agency – stemming from government or ambassador-led initiatives – are meticulously recorded within the Electoral Law. The aim is to reach a final decision on this key legislation.
The focus remains on ensuring transparency and accountability in the process, specifically concerning the roles of ESME, ELEM, and their suppliers.
