Mass protests have been called by the government, but now it is necessary to pay 20 million euros

Bojan Stojanovski, a member of the VMRO-DPMNE party, addressed the Minister of Internal Affairs, Oliver Spasovski, who is now affiliated with the SDSM party. During the meeting, Stojanovski advised Spasovski that no candidate should be selected for the position and cautioned against any manipulation. Stojanovski expressed disappointment regarding the selection process, stating that the current situation was regrettable, especially given the expectation that no one should be appointed when his party gains power.

He referenced the pending start of the Commission for Appointments and the potential disbursement of 20 million euros intended for personnel. He questioned the criteria for appointments, pointing out that 30 individuals from the “Tigar” unit had been rejected. Stojanovski then challenged Spasovski by asking for the specific reasons for the rejection of candidates for the current roles.

The exchange suggests a tense political discussion regarding staffing decisions within the ministry. Stojanovski reportedly asked Spasovski for a period of time before deciding to accept a request made by the minister. The conversation focused heavily on accountability and the perceived mismanagement of resources and personnel appointments within the government structure.
