A new portal with a database of applicants and scientific and research organizations

The launch of the new e-nauka portal establishes a centralized, national electronic database dedicated to supporting researchers engaged in scientific inquiry. This platform serves as a comprehensive resource, cataloging not only individual researchers but also encompassing scientific organizations and providing crucial statistics and indicators pertaining to the field. A key feature of the e-nauka portal is its integration with major international scientific databases, including Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar.

This connectivity allows users to efficiently retrieve vital metrics, including citation counts, research outcomes, and the h-index, thereby providing a robust measure of scientific impact. In response to the portal’s introduction, Minister Vesna Janevska issued a call for broad participation across the entire academic and research spectrum. She urged involvement from researchers affiliated with state and private universities and higher education institutions.

Furthermore, the call extends to personnel working within public and private scientific institutions, scientific institutes, and the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU). Significantly, the platform is designed to accommodate the entire research community. This includes not only researchers working within Macedonia but also those who are Macedonian nationals operating internationally.

The objective of the portal is to consolidate and standardize the tracking of scientific output, thereby enhancing the visibility and overall contribution of Macedonian research efforts on a national and global scale.
