Strumica firefighters executed a rescue operation early this morning, successfully retrieving a mother and child who had fallen into a hole near the house known as the three-patched house, which provides access to the St. Ilija monastery. The Territorial Fire Brigade in Strumica reported that the rescue effort commenced at approximately 5:15 a.m., when the dedicated firefighters-rescue team was dispatched to the location.
Upon reaching the scene, the firefighters managed to safely extract both individuals from the precarious area. Following the rescue, the mother and child were transferred to the Internal Medical Aid team for comprehensive examination and necessary treatment. The TPPE Strumica issued a statement emphasizing that the operation’s success was due to the prompt, professional, and coordinated response of the rescue teams.
