MACEDONIA WILL NOT BE MOVED FROM HER POSITIONS, BY THE VELAS OF THE VMRO-DPMNE

Macedonia Demands EU Guarantees Before Considering Name Modifications

Skopje – Macedonia will not proceed with any adjustments to its constitutional name until it secures explicit, written guarantees from the European Union. This stance was articulated by Valentin Manasievski, a representative of VMRO-DPMNE, highlighting concerns regarding recent policy decisions. Manasievski stated that Macedonia and its citizens are facing significant consequences stemming from what he characterized as “gullibility and wrong policies” under the leadership of Zoran Zaev and Vekko Filipčev.

The previous alteration of the country’s name was predicated on assurances of a secure path to European Union membership. However, according to Manasievski, the reality has been marked by “new agreements, new blockades, and new reductions.” He emphasized that any potential withdrawal from existing agreements will be contingent upon the provision of robust guarantees, safeguarding national interests, and demonstrable certainty regarding the prospects of integration. Consequently, the presence of the special Bulgarian envoy, Vekko Filipčev, is being viewed as a critical step in securing these assurances.

The VMRO-DPMNE representative stressed the need for concrete guarantees before Macedonia can consider further modifications to its recognized identity.
