Lithuania: There are no signs that Russia is preparing an attack on the Baltic region

Lithuania has issued a warning regarding heightened security risks in the region, stating that while there are no current signs that a comprehensive attack is being prepared by Russia against the Baltic countries, the potential risk of sabotage remains high, according to the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense. These statements have prompted monitoring across various media channels for potential Russian provocations, as reported by Lithuanian public television LRT. Separately, reports detail military activity in eastern Ukraine.

On March 27, 2022, imagery showed a Russian serviceman guarding during a food distribution organized by the Russian army and militias associated with the self-proclaimed LPR in the village of Trokhizbenka, Luhansk region. In related developments from that period, Sergey Kozlov, Chairman of the Government of the LPR, reported that as of March 22, retreating Kyiv security forces had reportedly blown up 22 bridges. Kozlov stated that the LPR authorities planned to restore these structures, with Russia offering assistance in the restoration and construction efforts.

These reports reflect the ongoing complex security situation across the region, with Lithuania maintaining vigilance over potential destabilizing actions from Russian actors.
