The Municipality of Karpoš announced that its environmental authorities conducted inspections yesterday to assess the proper functioning of the city’s waste management system. Specifically, the Sector of the Inspectorate for the Environment carried out checks at the Zlokučani Police Station to ensure adherence to waste management regulations within the Zlokučani area. During these inspections, several irregularities were identified, including instances of improperly constructed buildings.
Consequently, the municipality stated that additional inspections would be initiated to address these structural concerns. In related efforts to improve sanitation, a waste bin was relocated from the former end of “Skupi” street and placed within the settlement. Furthermore, the inspections revealed that several residents were responsible for improper waste disposal and violations of established cleanliness rules.
The municipality noted that the inspection services are currently engaging with residents to inform them about prevailing communal issues. Karpoš confirmed that it will maintain regular inspections and increase its monitoring efforts across the area to ensure compliance and improve public sanitation standards.
