Janevska: Around 30 students are going to international scientific olympiads

Minister of Education and Science Vesna Janevska announced that thirty Macedonian students will be dispatched next month to represent the nation at various international scientific olympiads. Addressing the media via Facebook, Janevska specifically addressed concerns regarding the financial burden, assuring the public that the students’ participation will not be dependent on their ability to cover associated costs for transportation or accommodation. Janevska confirmed that both the Ministry of Education and Science and the Government are providing comprehensive funding for the delegation, marking the second consecutive year of full institutional support for the academic group.

She emphasized that this commitment is intended to ensure sustained development for the country’s brightest minds. The Minister stated that the support mechanism will continue, asserting that the nation’s intellectual talent warrants complete backing. According to Janevska, this continuous support structure is vital to enable the students to adequately prepare, develop their specialized knowledge, and demonstrate on a global stage that Macedonia possesses young individuals who are world-class in their respective scientific fields.

The announcement underscores a governmental focus on fostering high-level academic achievement through participation in international scholarly competitions.
