Six Individuals Arrested in Serbia as Part of Operation “Paton”

Belgrade, Serbia – Law enforcement agencies in Serbia have arrested six individuals in connection with suspected involvement in the sexual exploitation of children online. The operation, dubbed “Armageddon,” is part of the ongoing “Paton” initiative targeting online child sexual exploitation. According to officials, the arrests were carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, the Technology Directorate, the Anti-High-Tech Crime Service, alongside police departments in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Nis, Smederevo, and Bor.

The operation was authorized by the Special Department for the fight against high-tech crime of the Supreme Court in Belgrade. The suspects, including K.B. (1985), a citizen of the Russian Federation, are accused of providing and disseminating pornographic material and exploiting a minor for pornography.

Investigations were conducted in accordance with the court order. During the operation, law enforcement seized relevant materials. The investigation is ongoing and further details are pending official statements.

The focus of the operation remains the disruption of online networks involved in the exploitation of children.
