Heleneo Energy and Chevron Announce Expanded Partnership in Ionian Sea Block 10

Heleneo Energy and Chevron have formalized a strategic partnership with a new contract for hydrocarbon exploitation within Block 10 of the Ionian Sea Groupations. The agreement, finalized on June 19, 2026, at 18:02, extends the existing concession located in the maritime district of the Gulf of Kiparis, a region within southern Greece. Under the terms of the contract, Chevron will hold a 70% stake in the concession and will cover the operator’s fees.

Heleneo Energy will retain a 30% share of the profits generated from the exploitation. This collaboration marks an expansion of the existing strategic cooperation between the two companies. Beyond Block 10, Heleneo and Chevron are jointly undertaking studies across five additional concessions throughout the Republic of Greece, representing a significant commitment to hydrocarbon exploration within the region.

The new contract solidifies their joint efforts and aims to maximize the potential of these concessions. The partnership underscores a focus on responsible and sustainable development within the Greek energy sector.
