Fearful reports: 93 cases of violence against children registered in 64 schools

RTSM Zargujevci Launches Project to Combat Sexual and Violent Acts in Education

The RTSM Zargujevci presented a new one-year project aimed at the prevention of sexual and violent acts within the educational system today. The initiative, supported by the Ministry of Education and Science (MEN), seeks to address a growing concern within schools. The project, titled “Prevention of the Cycle of Sexual and Violent Acts – Systemic Prevention of Sexual and Violent Acts in the Educational System,” receives backing from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MV) and the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth.

Minister of Internal Affairs Panče Toskakovski highlighted the increasing prevalence of sexual and violent incidents, noting that police observations indicate a parallel rise in these behaviors. Toskakovski emphasized that exposure to violence within families is identified as a significant risk factor contributing to aggression among children and youth. The project’s focus is on systemic prevention strategies designed to mitigate these risks.

The initiative represents a collaborative effort between various government ministries to address the complex issue of sexual and violent acts within the educational environment. Further details regarding the project’s specific activities and implementation will be released in the coming weeks.
