During the week, water is not technically correct

Prime Minister Hristijan Micoski announced expectations regarding the restoration of the water supply in Gostivar. He stated that the water system is anticipated to be technically functional by the close of the current week. Furthermore, the supply is projected to be safe for drinking by the end of the following week, contingent upon all scheduled activities progressing according to plan.

Addressing the media during the inauguration of the reconstructed city water supply in Kavadarci, Micoski detailed the measures being implemented to resolve the issue. He confirmed that the effort involves the participation of specialized teams from the Skopje “Water and Sewerage” department, alongside technical experts. Micoski emphasized that the immediate priority is undertaking a comprehensive cleaning of the entire system.

This process is crucial to ensure that the water meets established safety standards, specifically regarding normal chlorine levels, and is suitable for technical use. The initial stages of this remediation work are expected to proceed rapidly. The technical functionality of the water supply is anticipated to stabilize by the end of this week.

The ongoing monitoring and cleaning process, which is taking place during this period, is vital for achieving potable standards. Officials maintain that strict adherence to the planned dynamic is necessary to guarantee that the water reaches safe drinking levels by the end of the subsequent week.
