Dimovski: The non-operational zones will be transformed into industrial areas

Director Announces Plans to Revitalize Non-Operational Industrial Zones

Gace Dimovski, Director of the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones, outlined plans to transform currently inactive industrial zones across the country. Dimovski stated that zones including Delčevo, Berovo, and Vinița will be redeveloped into operational industrial areas, incentivizing domestic companies to expand their production within these regions. Currently, the Strumska Technological Industrial Development Zone houses two operating companies, employing a significant workforce.

The government intends to attract a new investor to the region, further bolstering economic activity. Dimovski indicated that these efforts will begin in 2025. The initiative aims to address underutilized areas and stimulate economic growth through targeted investment and support for domestic businesses.

Dimovski emphasized the government’s commitment to facilitating expansion for existing companies within these zones. The focus remains on utilizing existing zones and attracting new investment to drive industrial development. Keywords: zones, dimovski, industrial development.
