Dimitarievski Explains ZNAM’s Entry into Vlatad Coalition
Maxim Dimitarievski, President of ZNAM, outlined the party’s motivations for joining the Vlatad coalition government, stating the primary goal was to safeguard Macedonian national interests and prevent previously negative political developments. Speaking on this matter, Dimitarievski emphasized that ZNAM’s participation was driven by a desire to ensure Macedonian citizens do not experience a sense of being a “second-order” population within the country. The move follows parliamentary elections where ZNAM reached an agreement with other parties to form the Vlatad coalition.
While ZNAM has not formally signed a coalition agreement with VMRO-DPMNE, the alliance was established through the election results. Dimitarievski clarified that the intention is to mitigate heightened pressures impacting Macedonian national interests. He reiterated that ZNAM’s strategic decision reflects a commitment to fostering a national identity and preventing scenarios that could lead to a feeling of marginalization among Macedonian citizens.
The coalition aims to address ongoing political challenges and prioritize the concerns of the Macedonian population.
