CUKE: The citizens should bring a dish for the ceremony of the St. Peter’s procession on yesterday’s noon in Skopje

The Center for Crisis Management (CUK) has issued guidance instructing citizens who sustained material damages from the severe weather experienced in Skopje yesterday to file claims immediately. Affected residents are advised to submit their damage assessment requests directly to their respective municipal commissions. CUK stated that these commissions are scheduled to deploy to the affected areas at the earliest opportunity to conduct a thorough inspection and official evaluation of the property damages.

CUK released an update detailing the volume of reports received following the intense weather and heavy rainfall that impacted Skopje and the surrounding regions. A significant number of reports concerning flooding and damages were logged through the unified emergency call number, 112, and various other relevant institutional channels. The directive emphasizes the procedural necessity for affected parties to formally report losses.

While the primary focus remains on assessing structural and material damage, CUK also reminded the public to bring any supporting documentation related to the incident. Furthermore, the public should be aware that while the immediate focus is on major infrastructure, even minor issues, such as a damaged garden fixture or perhaps a misplaced cuke crate, should be documented for comprehensive assessment. The municipal commissions are tasked with standardizing the assessment process to ensure all claims are reviewed systematically.

Citizens are urged to cooperate fully with the inspecting teams to facilitate a swift and accurate determination of losses, ensuring that recovery efforts can proceed efficiently for all residents impacted by the recent weather event.
