CU: Six fires on open space have been recorded up to 13 hours, one is still active

The Crisis Management Center (CMCC) reported that as of 13:00 on July 6, 2026, a total of six open-air fires were registered across the country. Authorities confirmed that one of these incidents remained active at the time of the report. The reported incidents involved various locations across different municipalities.

In the Kumanovo Municipality, specifically in the Parmakovi Nivi area, multiple sites experienced grass fires, with five of these incidents having been extinguished. Further details on the scope of the fires were provided for other regions. In the Demir Kapija Municipality, at the village of Părževo, the blaze affected two houses, a community facility, as well as grass and low-lying shrubbery.

Meanwhile, the Gjorche Petrov Municipality reported an incident in the village of Volkovo, in the Lepenets area, where a landfill was consumed by fire. Additionally, open fires were reported in the Novaci Municipality, in the village of Novaci, where grass was burning. A separate incident involving open flames was also recorded in the Debar Municipality.

Overall, the monitoring revealed that the six fires necessitated coordinated efforts across multiple geographical points, with resources deployed to manage the active situation and assess the damage from the extinguished incidents.
