CRIVOLOVCI ARE INPUTED IN THE POLICE NETWORK – Two are introduced, a fishing net

The Border Control Police Station “Ohridsko Jezero,” operationalized during June and July, has conducted 44 control operations targeting illegal activities in the Ohridsko Jezero area. These operations were specifically designed to combat illicit fishing practices, apprehend responsible parties, and confiscate related equipment. During these patrols, the police successfully arrested two individuals accused of illegal fishing.

The initial arrests were made at the Ohrid Police Station before the detainees were transferred to the Struga Police Station. In addition to the arrests, law enforcement confiscated significant amounts of materials related to the violations. Authorities seized twenty-five fishing nets, which collectively measured four kilometers and 900 meters in length—a quantity deemed strictly prohibited for local fishing activities.

Furthermore, the police confiscated 702 pieces of Ohridsko Jezero venison, weighing a total of 97 kilograms. These actions underscore the ongoing efforts by the police to enforce regulations and safeguard local natural resources against illegal exploitation.
