The planned commencement of the next gathering in the Ohrid area, which was scheduled to begin with a general assembly under the framework of the United Nations, has been postponed, according to statements made by the Vice-Premier and relevant minister. During the discussion, Vice-Premier and Transport Minister for Transports, Aleksandar Nikolaos, raised concerns regarding the classification of the Ohrid Region as an endangered area. Nikolaos framed this concern in the context of the “Task Force – Nafasan,” a project that had previously faced reservations from the UN regarding its construction.
The official emphasized that the current situation necessitates a clear determination regarding the mission’s viability. He stated that the responsibility now lies with key decision-makers to ascertain the future course of the task. Nikolaos concluded by expressing an optimistic view that the Ohrid Region possesses the capacity to address these ongoing challenges and move forward.
The postponement of the high-level meeting underscores the critical nature of these underlying infrastructural and developmental decisions facing the area.
