Macedonian text: He was accused of having obtained from Russian intelligence services highly confidential information while working for the Swedish armed forces, reports Kyiv Post. According to the Swedish prosecutor’s office, the suspect left Moscow in November 2025, where he met with representatives of the Russian intelligence and security services, including the Federal Security Service (FSB) and the General Staff’s Main Directorate for Intelligence (GRU). “The suspect had previously been employed by the Swedish armed forces and, thanks to that role, had access to information of extremely sensitive nature,” prosecutor Mats Lingqvist said in his statement.
The prosecutors believe that he was bribed to find the information in exchange for protection from Swedish authorities and the Swedish media.
