The initial phase anticipates the arrival of the first 30 electric buses around December or January, with the total fleet of 150 buses projected to be fully operational within eighteen months. Separately, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikoloski, addressed a recent legal matter, noting that a complaint filed against the project had been dismissed by the Second Appeals Commission for Public Funds.
Regarding major infrastructure, Nikoloski stated that the capital project for the Ohrid-Kichevo busway is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027. He advised that the exact month will depend on prevailing weather conditions. He elaborated that optimal construction timing would place completion in January during mild winter weather, though extreme winter conditions might necessitate a delay until March to accommodate work in mountainous terrain.
In response to criticisms regarding the pace of funding, Nikoloski emphasized the current commitment, stating that the necessary funds are being secured over months, rather than the extended periods of years or decades suggested by some critics.
