The platform, often compared to an “Amazon” equivalent within Russia, has reported major disruptions to its warehousing network. Reports indicate that over the past two weeks, 12 of the company’s 15 largest warehouses have been targeted.
As of the latest assessments, ten of these facilities have not yet been fully restored to operational capacity. Financially, the direct impact on the infrastructure is estimated to cost approximately 650 million euros, representing at least a 15% reduction in the platform’s total warehouse capacity. Beyond the physical damage, the disruption poses a substantial risk to the sellers who utilize the online marketplace.
Potential losses for goods whose production or storage was housed in the affected russian centers are estimated to exceed 3 billion euros, impacting the broader trading ecosystem. Despite the scale of the damage to the russian online commerce giant, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has previously stated that efforts are underway to restore the affected warehousing facilities.
