The legacy of Ana Lipšica-Tofovska, particularly her concert in Macedonian music culture and the establishment of the “Ohridsko Ljeto” festival, remains a significant cultural touchstone. A monograph titled “Ana Lipšica-Tofovska” was recently published to mark the 100th anniversary of the artist’s birth. This publication is authored by Ms.

Snezhana Anastassova Chadikovska and Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Trajkovski.

The commemorative event surrounding the monograph’s release coincided with a celebration of the artist’s enduring influence. The “Ohridsko Ljeto” festival itself traces its origins back to a solo recital given by Lipšica-Tofovska at the Church of St. Sophia on August 4, 1961.

This event marks the beginning of the festival, which now commemorates 66 years of its existence. During the ceremony, President Gordana Sili?anska-Dakovska, the patron of the “Ohridsko Ljeto” festival, was in attendance. The festival’s director addressed the gathering, reflecting on the artist’s contribution to Macedonian arts.

The dedication of the monograph serves to document and celebrate the life and career of the artist, providing insight into the cultural importance of the “Ohridsko Ljeto” festival and the lasting memory of Ana Lipšica-Tofovska.
