The Ministry of Interior released data summarizing the enforcement actions undertaken by the police during the period of July 1 through July 31. According to the ministry, during the reporting period in July, a total of 20,976 individuals were sanctioned for violations related to crossing police control points.
In addition to these measures, the police recorded 496 fines issued for various traffic offenses, resulting in 332 vehicles being removed from circulation. A significant portion of the enforcement effort targeted vehicle possession. Specifically, 496 persons were fined for the unlawful possession of vehicles linked to the control operations.
These possession fines were categorized based on the nature of the violation. The breakdown revealed 373 fines for possessing vehicles while under the influence of alcohol. Further violations included 81 fines for possessing vehicles prohibited by law, 25 fines for similar possession offenses, 13 fines for excessive use of a vehicle without a permit, and 3 fines for other specified violations regarding vehicle prohibition.
The data illustrates the comprehensive nature of the police operation throughout July, addressing not only unauthorized movement but also serious infractions concerning vehicle legality and impairment.
