The Minister of Water and Sanitation, Hristo Mitevski, announced that the effort to normalize the water supply system in Gostivar is nearing completion. He assured the public that citizens will soon have access to free, potable water for consumption. According to the Minister, experts from the Skopje Water and Sewerage Company are currently engaged in discussions regarding the hyperchlorination process.

Furthermore, daily testing and detailed analyses are being conducted to ensure compliance with safety standards. Mitevski stated that the resolution for citizens to utilize bacteriologically clean drinking water is expected within the coming days. While acknowledging the seriousness of the infrastructure challenges, he appealed for public patience as intensive work continues.

He emphasized that significant efforts are underway to resolve the supply issues. Looking ahead, Mitevski anticipates that a broader population will have access to safe and reliable drinking water in the near future, marking a successful conclusion to the ongoing normalization process. The focus remains on ensuring that the entire distribution network meets rigorous health and safety criteria before full service is restored.
