The party contends that when the government assumed control, the sector’s institutions faced considerable instability, unresolved matters, and budget shortfalls spanning from 2020 through 2024. According to the party’s statement, the challenges included significant backlogs in payments, such as dairy producers reportedly awaiting subsidies for 17 months.
Furthermore, entities like the JPA “National Smiles” and Water Management SA were reported to have experienced payment delays exceeding four months for services such as health and pension insurance. Regarding financial projections, the VMRO-DPMNE indicated that the planned expenditure for agricultural and processing production in 2025 was set at 417 million euros. This projection was noted against a reported budget deficit of 215 million euros.
