The charges allege the unjustified use of ministry assets, including official aircraft, service travel documentation, and service cards, which the authorities claim has resulted in a financial loss of 2,562,139 dinars, equating to approximately 41,610 euros. A young prosecutor has filed an indictment against the director in connection with an ongoing criminal case.
The charges brought forth include Abuse of Office and Misuse of Authority, citing Article 353 of the Criminal Code, and Falsification of Service under Article 361 of the same Code. In the indictment, the prosecutor stated that the accused, who assumed the role of director on July 3, 2024, allegedly abused the ministry’s authority. Furthermore, the filing claims that the director interfered improperly with internal service management procedures and acted without legitimate grounds for service dismissal.
The prosecution’s actions indicate a formal investigation into the proper use of public resources by high-ranking officials.
