“PAY TO GET IT BACK” – A Skopje resident was caught on tape cheating 28,700 euros

A man in Skopje reported being defrauded of approximately 28,700 euros by an individual posing as a state official. The report was filed with the Ministry of Interior (MVR) on [Date of Report], detailing events that took place between November 12, 2024, and January 12, 25. According to the victim’s account, he met the suspect in a local craft shop.

The perpetrator introduced himself as a government employee and claimed he had connections that could help the victim recover previously seized gold jewelry.
