Skopje Residents Face Charges in Assault and Alleged Sexual Assault Cases
Two men in Skopje are facing criminal charges following separate incidents involving violence and accusations of assault. A 56-year-old man is currently leading a case against one individual related to aggravated assault, specifically concerning violations of the Krivošij law. Investigations reveal a pattern of post-war psychological and physical abuse directed towards his wife and two children, aged 18 and 15.
The victims reported enduring a period of abuse, including injuries and restrictions imposed by the defendant. They expressed significant distress and ultimately refused to tolerate the behavior. Separately, a 33-year-old Skopje resident is under investigation in connection with an alleged sexual assault.
On June 20th, authorities report the man was driving and engaging in harassing behavior towards a woman. At one point, he attempted to rape her while she was inside a vehicle. The woman was subsequently left in the car.
These cases highlight ongoing concerns regarding domestic violence within the Skopje area and underscore the legal consequences for such actions. Authorities are continuing their investigations into both incidents.
