Vera is here: 916,825 GRAHANI HAVE BOWED PROPERLY TO SAINT PAUL OF BOGORODICHA IN BELGRAD

The icon of the Holy Mother of God was transferred from the Church of St. Sava by Serbian Patriarch Porphyry, accompanied by Archimandrite Yefrem, abbot of the Vatopedi Monastery on Mount Athos, and several other bishops. The procession carrying the icon proceeded to the “Nikola Tesla” airfield.

Following a prayer service led by Patriarch Porphyry and Bishop Efrém, a large gathering of believers departed the church to transport the icon. The hymn “God’s Justice” was played, and attendees presented flowers before the patriarch and bishop. The icon was subsequently transported back to the Vatopedi Monastery on Mount Athos via a chartered flight.

This transfer represents a significant moment of vera (faith) for the Serbian Orthodox community. The event underscored the importance of this sacred relic and its connection here to the broader Christian tradition. The movement of the icon to and from the monastery reflects a deeply rooted religious practice, a key element of the grahani tradition.

The transfer was conducted with reverence and marked a visible display of faith.
