Vardar Files Application for Champions League Inclusion in 2026/27 Season
Skopje-based club, Vardar, has formally applied for a special invitation to participate in the upcoming Champions League competition for the 2026/27 season. The application was announced on June 17, 2026, at 17:43. The Champions League will feature 27 teams, expanding its format to include 24 clubs divided into six groups.
Vardar is among a list of clubs seeking inclusion, alongside Celje, Partizan, Krisen-Luzern, Valur, and Christianstad. Additionally, ten teams from nations already guaranteed a place in the competition are also in contention. The final decision regarding Vardar’s inclusion will be revealed on June 22nd.
