Two Macedonian nationalities were brought to Tabanovo, and the crops were destroyed and the money stolen

At the border checkpoint in Tabanovac, border police intercepted two individuals—H.T., a 24-year-old German national, and A.A., a 27-year-old Serbian national—on July 25, 2026, at approximately 17:58. The operation involved routine passport control and vehicle inspections, during which authorities noted the presence of German national symbols. During the initial inspection, police officers confiscated marijuana and 34 banknotes of 50 euros, which were suspected of being counterfeit.

Ten days later, the two individuals were detained again. During this subsequent check, authorities confiscated additional items, including marijuana and six 50 euro banknotes, which were also flagged as potential counterfeits. The detained pair were subsequently transferred to border police officers from the SRS Kumanovo.

Following the completion of thorough documentation regarding the seizure of these items at the border crossing, a formal report detailing the findings will be submitted. The incident highlights ongoing border security measures conducted by Macedonian authorities concerning illicit goods and currency at the Tabanovac checkpoint.
