The State Crisis Management Center (CUK) reported that two active fires were successfully extinguished within the state’s territory as of 17:17 on June 22, 2026. Prior to this, ten fires were reported across open spaces within the state. According to CUK, the two active fires were located between the villages of Grčec and Šiševo, situated within the Opština Saraj, an area characterized by low vegetation and mixed forest.
The second active fire was reported near the village of Kaluža, within the Opština Radoyish. All remaining fires reported earlier in the day were successfully extinguished. Investigations are ongoing regarding potential irregularities in tenders for the supply of protective fences, initiated by the barrage and inspectorate.
Separately, an indictment has been issued restricting access to premises in the Tetovsko region related to an investigation into allegations of sexual violence. The situation remains under monitoring by state authorities as they address the immediate threat of the active fires.
