Today’s summer time regime for government vehicles

As of today, specific driving restrictions are in effect for heavy goods vehicles operating on state roads across Macedonia as part of the established summer time regime. These regulations apply to trucks exceeding 15 tonnes in weight and remain in force until August 31st. The driving schedule varies depending on the day of the week.

The standard restrictions dictate that vehicles must adhere to specific operational windows: Fridays are restricted between 17:00 and 22:00; Saturdays are restricted from 09:00 to 18:00; and Sundays are restricted from 09:00 to 22:00. Furthermore, the Ministry of Health dictates supplementary rules for days experiencing extremely high temperatures. On such occasions, the operating hours are adjusted for Monday through Thursday, restricting movement between 11:00 and 17:00.

It is important to note that these restrictions are not universal. The regulations explicitly exempt vehicles that are transporting live animals or those carrying flowers. Authorities have issued these guidelines to manage traffic flow and ensure safety during the peak summer months.

Drivers must remain aware of the specific schedule applicable to today to ensure compliance with the current operational parameters.
