Three persons were injured following a traffic accident that occurred near the Ohrid-Podgorce road, specifically in the vicinity of the “St. Erazm” junction. According to reports, an Opel passenger vehicle, which was operating with stolen registration plates, was driven by S.M., a 70-year-old resident of Podgorci.
The incident took place when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a metal electric pole. The accident resulted in injuries to the driver and two minors, aged 14 and 16, both from the village of Podgorci. All three persons were transported to the “St.
Erazm” Hospital in Ohrid, where they were assessed and found to have sustained physical injuries. Following the collision, police teams were dispatched to the scene under the directive of the public prosecutor to secure the area and investigate the circumstances of the crash. The details of the accident were reported on July 2, 2026, at approximately 1:50 PM.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the vehicle leaving the road and striking the utility pole.
