Levica Youth Leader Arrested Following Flag Incident
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, led by Panče Todžovski, announced the arrest of a leader within the youth wing of the political party Levica late Tuesday evening. The arrest stemmed from an incident involving a flag displayed during a series of youth football matches. According to Ministry officials, the Levica youth leader was detained for carrying a flag intended for participants aged 14 and 16.
The incident occurred during the matches. During a subsequent discussion, Minister Todžovski addressed concerns regarding the arrest’s justification. He questioned the appropriate course of action for law enforcement, specifically regarding the flag itself.
“Should he have been provided with a new flag?” Todžovski stated. “Or was he removed from the stadium while wearing the flag?”
The arrest highlights a localized incident involving a member of the party’s youth organization. Authorities have indicated that the situation is still under investigation.
