A state support scheme remains active, providing financial assistance to households for the installation of natural gas connections or the purchase of gas boilers. The support offers a subsidy of up to 30,000 dinars, which covers 70 percent of the total costs associated with either the natural gas connection or the boiler unit itself. According to the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Minerals Resources, the government has already disbursed 3 million dinars under this program.
Beneficiaries must note that the reimbursement of funds operates strictly on a “first come, first served” basis. Eligibility for the scheme is defined for two primary groups of households. Firstly, the support is available to residences that have successfully completed the connection to the natural gas distribution system by the year 2026.
Secondly, the program extends to households that have already installed a gas boiler within a property that is confirmed to be connected to the existing gas network. This financial aid is available for application until the end of October. The Ministry advises interested parties to verify their eligibility criteria and submit necessary documentation promptly to secure the allocated funds, ensuring compliance with the stipulated guidelines for the natural gas infrastructure development.
