The voters will go to the voting booths to vote for the number of seats to be reduced to 10 million inhabitants. The party is supported by the right-wing Serbian People’s Party, which describes it as an initiative for restraint aimed at reducing the pressure on housing, additional services and the living environment. The Serbian government, all other major parties, business leaders and trade unions called it an initiative for “chaos,” believing that it would deprive hospitals and hotels of much-needed care.
The Serbs have over 9 million inhabitants, of whom 27% are foreigners.
