The Oncology Clinic confirmed that the safety of its patients remains unaffected following a temporary disruption to services. Yesterday, equipment at the University Clinic for Radio-Therapy and Oncology was disconnected from its power supply due to severe weather conditions and heavy rainfall in Skopje. According to statements from the clinic’s medical staff, the disruption was caused by water discharge recorded at the level -1 discharge point within the facility’s radiotheraphy department.
As a proactive and preventive measure, the equipment was temporarily powered down. Following the incident, comprehensive protocols were immediately implemented. The affected discharge areas were thoroughly cleared and disinfected.
Furthermore, authorized technical personnel conducted detailed inspections of all equipment. These inspections confirmed that no defects were identified on any of the machinery. Based on the successful completion of these safety checks, the medical team confirmed that all necessary precautions have been taken to ensure operational readiness.
Consequently, the radiotherapy doctors have resumed treating their patients without interruption. The clinic emphasized that all procedures adhered to strict safety guidelines, ensuring continuous, uninterrupted care for the patients requiring oncology treatments.
