Border Traffic Shows Moderate Increase at Tabanovci, Bogorodica, and Dojran Crossings
Recent data indicates a moderate rise in vehicle traffic at border crossings between the municipalities of Tabanovci, Bogorodica, and Dojran. Observations at the border points have revealed increased numbers of vehicles entering and exiting the country. Average waiting times at the Bogorodica and Dojran crossings currently average approximately 30 minutes.
This increase is attributed, in part, to the ongoing implementation of the new European Union border control system (EES) and the continued operation of the Schengen Agreement. Traffic levels have notably risen in areas with significant tourism, including Macedonia and regions passing through Halkidiki and Preveza. The remaining border crossings along the Macedonian side of the border remain unaffected, with no additional waiting times reported for individuals or vehicles entering or departing the country.
Authorities are continuing to monitor border traffic and assess the impact of the new EU system. Further updates will be provided as developments occur.
