A substantial commemorative piece, described as a massive 18-carat gold ring, was presented in Brussels in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States. The ring is adorned with a total of 321 diamonds, 56 sapphires, 13 emeralds, and six rubies. The artwork incorporates several symbolic elements.
Dozens of diamonds are used to form two large letters “T” positioned next to the American flag and the numerals “1776” and “2026.” Additionally, other diamonds form the numbers 45 and 47 in the recognizable shape of the Superman logo. The design also features a depiction of an eagle with wings decorated with diamonds. This eagle bears a shield crafted from ruby, and centrally within the canopy, an emerald-set green olive branch is held.
The memorial ring was presented to the American ambassador in Belgium, Bill Watts, who is anticipated to pass it on to the American president. Following the presentation, Watts stated, “I express my gratitude to my friends from Antwerp for the magnificent ring.” The piece serves as a tribute marking the upcoming anniversary milestone for the nation.
