European Police Disrupt Large-Scale Narcotics Network Based in Kosovo

Brussels – A significant narcotics trafficking organization operating in Kosovo has been dismantled following a coordinated operation led by Europol. The investigation, spanning three years, uncovered a sophisticated criminal network involved in large-scale drug trafficking, the use of falsified identification documents, and illicit arms possession. According to Europol, the operation, conducted yesterday, resulted in the arrest of five key members of the criminal organization.

The investigation utilized data gathered from communications, primarily through the encrypted messaging platform Sky, revealing a complex network with an estimated 1,500 members. Authorities reported the group was engaged in the distribution of narcotics across Europe and utilized falsified identification to facilitate its activities. Furthermore, the operation uncovered an illegal weapons stockpile.
