THE FATHER’S COUNTRY GASTIVAR PO NOV AUTOPAT – The government is planning the end of 2028

According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikoloski, the initial sections of the Tivat-Gostivar motorway are projected to be completed by 2028, assuming current rates of progress are maintained. Nikoloski confirmed that efforts are also underway to establish a railway connection between Skopje and Albania, continuing the scope of the “City of the future” project. Regarding the motorway construction, the minister noted that the entire process has been determined by the government, and the current focus involves managing necessary water relocation.

He assured that the work will not necessitate cutting off the motorway from either side. Furthermore, parallel construction activities are advancing on the associated rail lines and bridges. The ongoing efforts aim to ensure the steady development of this key infrastructure link.

The government’s commitment is evident through the coordinated effort across multiple sectors, including road and rail. The successful completion of the initial kilometers of the Tivat motorway is anticipated within the specified timeframe. These developments are part of a broader strategy to modernize regional connectivity, linking Tivat with further infrastructure nodes.

The coordination of these complex civil engineering works—managing water, building bridges, and laying tracks concurrently—underscores the scale of the undertaking.
