EUME to Close Deal with Gastrejd for 8 Million Euros
Alexandroupolis, Greece – The EUME will finalize an agreement with Gastrejd, the liquid gas terminal operator in Alexandroupolis, for a payment of 8 million euros. This club agreement addresses existing contracts with the company that have not been utilized, impacting the state-owned electrical energy production company. According to Lazo Uzunchev, General Director of the EUME, the negotiation process involved intensive discussions and strong arguments presented by the company’s Management Board.
The agreement modifies the terms of the original contract, obligating the EUME to purchase capacity from Gastrejd. This change reflects a shift in operational needs. Previously, the EUME was obligated under the original contract to be involved in the annexation process.
The revised terms now establish a direct purchase agreement. Uzunchev stated that the previous contracts were unproductive, and this new arrangement represents a resolution to that situation. The total value of the deal is 8 million euros.
